It’s been a weird year.
We have all seen and experienced a lot of loneliness, selfishness and fear of other lately.
May this reminds us to love each others and share…moments, food, toilet rolls, waves…
The movie “Circle of the Sun“ takes you on an almost surreal journey to Norway. It describes one Circle of the sun. One day of magic. Steep mountains, the ocean, the sun and the aurora borealis.
After 20 hours of driving, we couldn't care less to shake the rust off and hack into some waves. It has been about 10 months since we last ducked into the ocean and the spirits were high. Fantasizing about the first turn kept us awake while spearing through the French inland. A voyage with a promise of scoring.
North of Italy can get glassy and perfect for noseriding. Style master Ale Ponzanelli knows it, ad makes the best out of an unexpected sunset of good waves in Ligurian Sea, shot by the drone of Federico Romanello.
Due to COVID-19 both Oceanside and San Diego had their beaches shut down for a couple weeks. No surfing, walking, swimming. During that time it rained for about a week straight, which allowed for some new sandbars to be created from the opening of a river mouth and dredging.
So stoked to launch our first web serie called “Moments” featuring French surfer Arthur Bourbon surfing his home breaks in the Bask Country and Les Landes.
The first episode was shot in La Gravière just before the lockdown. A classic winter day in Hossegor, pumping waves, dark barrels, good fun. Share the stoke.
Many meteorologists have ironically nicknamed it “the monsoon”, the fact is that the flow of Atlantic currents of autumn / winter 2019 will certainly be remembered for the large frequency of swells generated.

Last February I shoot Ophelie Ah-Kouen (WSL Longboard Tour) and her Boyfriend Raphael VIDOT. She went to Byron Bay just before the Noosa Longboard Open.
In surfing, big swells mean strike missions, and when Luke Davis got the call about a solid swell on its way to Panama this past January, he couldn’t pass up the opportunity.

It was long awaited. And now it’s out. And it’s sick. Craig Anderson’s last movie "The Quieter You Are The More You Can Hear" is definitely a must watch.
'Thank You Mother' is a cinematic journey of surfing, simplicity and appreciation. It is a film that isn't afraid to be beautiful, stylish and sincere. The forecast on this day didn’t look great. Winds were due to be pretty strong side shore and the tide was going to be too high, but when we got to the beach it was perfect! Little offshore peaks in the rain that were so nice for longboarding. Bryce and I were stoked! Minus the 45 degree weather.
We have always been inspired by how Clovis understands surfing. Were some people just see it as a summer entertainment, Clovis has made surfing his life, and has very clear vision of the importance of culture, respect and legacy.
Generally, there are not many longboarders up in Northern California because there are little to no waves that are good for it. When Neil contacted me I was so stoked, but knowing he is a longboarder I was a little conflicted on where to go.
Because summer means summer waves & crowds, we decided to ride up North to find a calm spot where to spend the week-end. Good friends, good waves, none else in the water, perfect weather ultimately lead to good vibes. That’s the only way to sum-up this great moment.
I glance down at my watch, it reads just after 9am. Over the top of my coffee, I scour the ocean, It’s a wild and bumpy canvas layered with mood. There’s only going to be one decent spot on a day like today I think aloud.
Just after the Wheels and Waves, we met with Nathan Sadoun to discuss present, future and surfing. Nathan is a great human being. Always smiling, always stoked when there is a shitty wave to surf and always the first when it comes to have a couple of beers. Congrats on winning the event log contest. See you around Nathan!
I met Caleb Cutmore in 2019 on a surf trip and was so confused as to why there was no footage of him to be found anywhere. Over the period of that trip we started putting together a plan for a project in 2020. COVID hit and our first few trips were postponed but after the countries four week lock down we started lining up swells and our work load to come together and film.
