“Last winter I finally visited the North Shore of Oahu. For years, I’d been inundated with tales, myths and legends of the mesmerising waves of Pipe and her neighbours. It exceeded the billing. I wanted to capture everything!

What I found so special about the North Shore was the tangible excitement in the atmosphere. There’s nothing like the thrill of when your subject is happy with the shot you got of them, and you share the emotions that come with a great photograph. That’s a massive part of why I love surf photography.
